Nordica DOBERMANN GSR EVO EDT review 2014
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
As an excellent compromise between performance and accessibility, the Nordica Dobermann Evo GS R EDT was our "Testers' Choice" in this category. It is highly recommended for good to expert skiers, or for beginner Giant Slalomers looking for a powerful tool to "carve up" the slopes, but without constant physical engagement.
Review: Pros
- The Nordica Dobermann GSR Evo amazed our testers! They found the ski to be remarkably lively and incisive. Turn initiation was practically instantaneous, and edge-to-edge transitions smooth and quick. While delivering good performance, it is nevertheless a ski for the progressing skier, handling well at intermediate speeds and in sliding and skidded turns. Although its profile is more that of a Giant Slalom ski, it handles all types of turns and manoeuvres with ease.
Review: Cons
- There was a slight decline in performance compared to some of the other tested models with more of a racing profile (e.g., Dynastar, Fisher,...).

Manufacturer's remarks
A pure high-performance ski, skiers who love wide turns will be simply amazed by its incredible accessibility and its extremely high level of performance! Its design incorporates some of the best racing technology features, including: the Rapide Race Profile (a very short, square tip); the new Evo plate - 20% wider than traditional plates - for better pressure transmission; the EDT system (a carbon plate which enhances resistance to torsion for better grip and stability.
