As is often the case, Rossignol has sent us a ski that focuses on accessibility rather than pure performance. The gamble came off well. The Hero Master is a ski that almost everyone can enjoy. ProSkiLab™ warmly recommends it for all good to excellent athletic riders, who would like to enjoy giant turn sensations, or who want to try out the discipline. At the same time, it’s a remarkably accessible and comfortable ski for this category. Hard-liners and competitors will prefer a stiffer, more demanding ski like the Dobermann.

- Incredibly accessible for this category, especially in turn initiation
- A remarkably intuitive and tolerant ski.
- Extremely energetic, giving the impression of a highly responsive ski that grips firmly underfoot.

- Intermediary radius with capacity to extend or reduce the turns according to the rider’s whim.

- Slightly weaker performance than some other skis in this category.
- Ski tested was too short (Rossignol sent 175 cm so 5 cm shorter than the length requested).
- A relatively more flexible ski than average, losing its marks in highly dynamic turns, on hard pack and steep slopes.
