In keeping with other Scott products, which have often done well in the Freeride category, the Venture was this year's "Testers' Choice" in this category. An excellent ski for intermediate to very good skiers who are looking for a very well-balanced ski that delivers a stress-free experience on all types of terrains.

Review: Pros

• Due to its evenly distributed flex, the Venture is most notable for its unrivalled all-round performance: it never scored less than 14.5 on any of the test criteria.
• On the slopes, the ski performs well in every department. Its most notable features were its good overall performance, excellent grip and unrivalled edge-holding capabilities. The ski is remarkably docile and easy to manoeuvre and turn.
• In freeride conditions, the ski (also) stands out on account of its ease-of-handling and agility on all types of terrains, including the most difficult. At once effective, comfortable and reassuring, this ski is suitable for all freeride enthusiasts, from beginner to advanced.

Review: Cons

• The Venture is a flexible ski - some of our testers felt it was a bit "soft" - that reaches its limit at high speed on hard snow.
