Stöckli Stormrider 95 review 2014

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

The Stöckli Stormrider 95 loses marks for its rigid waist which reduces comfort. However, it's a good ski for heavier skiers (> 85kg) looking for a versatile model that's enjoyable on soft snow and powder.

Review: Pros

  • Overall, the Stormrider displays good on-piste behavior and performance. Extremely stable on hard pack, it's also very comfortable on soft snow.
  • Off-piste, it really zips across the terrain and you can ride it everywhere as long as the snow is soft. It floats and pivots really well in the powder.

Review: Cons

  • The ski's waist is very rigid, failing to absorb the moguls, both on piste, especially on hard pack, and off-piste, despite the flexible tip. This reduces comfort to a considerable degree.
