Dynastar Course R20 review 2014
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
A worthy newcomer to the legendary range, the Dynastar Course is unquestionably geared towards performance and long-radius turns. A good ski for expert- to competition-level skiers.
Review: Pros
- The Dynastar Course excels in its domain, i.e., long-radius turns at high speed. Due to its extremely rigid design, it delivers excellent grip and stability, holding fast in turns regardless of circumstances. The ski displays very little distortion, and remains unfazed, producing an impression of balance and reliability.
Review: Cons
- As a highly specialised instrument, the ski is quite demanding. Handling is not very intuitive, and it is less at ease when manoeuvred outside its envelope, especially in short-radius turns. It requires the rider to be well positioned, and can easily throw the skier back when exiting turns if he/she is not positioned far enough forward going into the turn. Our testers found it to be somewhat sluggish during turn initiation manoeuvres.
