Rossignol PURSUIT 18 AR/TI/BSL TPX review 2014
PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments
The Rossignol Pursuit 18 Ti is an excellent ski for carving at moderate speeds (or for novice carvers). Unfortunately, it is geared too much towards this type of usage and is not versatile enough to be listed in the Advanced category. Suitable for intermediate to good skiers who enjoy carving - but nothing too extreme.
Review: Pros
- The Rossignol Pursuit was designed for carving, and in this area it's perfectly at ease as long as it isn't pushed too hard. It has a pleasant feel underfoot and is easy to handle if manoeuvred within its radius when carving turns at moderate speeds.
Review: Cons
- The Pursuit's handling style is unique: it requires the rider to ski centred, performing carving turns only, at moderate speeds and within the ski's radius. When the skier deviates from these conditions, handling becomes less intuitive. Changing turn radius requires more attention, and sliding and skidded turns are more uncertain. Some of our testers were disappointed with its lack of responsiveness, and its relative sluggishness when initiating turns.
