Best performance!

The PROSKILAB reviewers came back after riding the Famous 10 by Rossignol with an enormous smile on their faces! The ski is an incredible performer, especially in turns where it really excels. It’s a very versatile model that can vary turn radius and style. But it’s mainly the playful and dynamic behaviour that sets it apart from its rivals and that riders will love, at least, as long as they’re willing to get actively... Read on

2018 Elan Insomnia review

Top-of-the-range women's cruisers

Elan’s Insomnia is certainly not a model you’ll fall asleep on. The ski is globally efficient, especially in long turns, where its lively and precise. The reviewers loved its strong and relatively high-sprung character. In terms of comfort, there’s nothing more to say: the ski cushions the terrain well and doesn’t require much physical engagement. The stiff tail makes it quite demanding though and requires careful positioning, which makes it less accessible and stopped it from getting to the top of the podium. The Insomnia well deserves its... 2018 Head Epic Joy SLR review

Top-of-the-range women's cruisers

The Epic Joy by Head has obviously put the emphasis on lightness, an important factor for ladies' skis. The ski is incredibly light underfoot. Very easy in turn initiation, happy in skid turns, it’s really easy to steer until you reach medium speeds. At full throttle, especially on hard pack, it slows down. The ski loses its stability, pressure is less consistent, and it's a lot more challenging to steer.
The Epic Joy is a good early stage ski that would certainly have shined in our old "Intermediate women's cruisers" category. It will be... Read on

2018 Nordica Sentra SL7 Ti EVO review

Top-of-the-range women's cruisers

Tested a bit short in this category (156cm for 165cm requested), the Sentra SL7 Ti Evo is an excellent touring ski, but unfortunately is not versatile/nimble enough to do well in this Top-of-the-Range Female category. The ski is amazingly simple to use, consistent in skid turns, and rotation is a piece of cake. On the other hand, it’s a lot more challenging when we step up the pace: it loses its stability and pressure when you increase the speed and doesn’t particularly enjoy carving. We recommend this ski for good riders looking for facility... Read on
