Head Rev 78 review 2015

PROSKILAB™ reviewers' comments

A very good ski for this category (already picked out last year), this model was reviewed in a longer version than requested, making more difficult to handle, especially at slower speed. Its accessibility together with its capacity to help skiers make technical progress mean it’s a good choice for beginner to intermediate skiers who want to improve their technique.

Review: Pros

  • A very well-balanced ski
  • Very forgiving
  • Easy initiation/rotation
  • Help the skier progress to carving and higher speeds
  • Stability

Review: Cons

  • Accessibility and handling at slower speeds not so good because of the size of the ski reviewed (177 cm instead of the 170 requested)

Manufacturer's remarks

You don’t have to worry about the quality of the snow or the level of the skier, or about riding off piste or in turns. The REV are revolutionary skis that can do it all. The ski’s versatility comes from the ERA 3.0 technology. After several years of trials, we discovered that the advantages of the Rocker ski can only be fully exploited when they are combined with a new type of radius and improved initiation. In other words, ERA 3.0 skis are what the other Rocker skis would like to have been.
