Given its shape and its background, the Experience is obviously an on-piste ski... and remains an on-piste ski. Although it ranks less well in this category, where it is competing with more versatile models, it is still a good ski for those looking for an on-piste ski that has a great feel underfoot in carving manoeuvres, and can handle the occasional incursion off the groomed slopes.

Review: Pros

• The Expérience 88 is very much at home on the slopes, and especially in carved turns. Sound and forgiving, the ski is easy to handle and has a pleasant feel underfoot. The ski edges easily into turns, and holds fast on account of its good grip and excellent stability.

Review: Cons

• With its on-piste profile, the Experience is much less at ease in off-piste conditions, mainly due to the shape of the ski and its tip, which is not really suitable to progressing skiers.
• On the slopes, the ski - with its pronounced profile - performs less well in sliding and skidded turns.
